Theory of Writing Draft

I’m going to write about what I know about and how that shapes my writing process. This writing journey started from my day one school life and is still continuing and my first semester in City college is almost done. But the procedure of writing has been changed in every new step. After joining here I learned about how writing is shaped in different ways. I have learned different ways of writing from my dearest professor Caitlin Geoghan. She taught me personally many things that I didn’t know before.

This course name is writing for science. I didn’t know what to write for science before the start of this semester. In my first class our professor disclosed what is writing for science. Our first major assignment was a scientific op-ed. I had no idea about the op-ed. I was so confused about how I could do that. In that op-ed there were some steps to follow. Rhetorical analysis and reverse outline were the main part of that op-ed. Even though I had no idea what the rhetorical analysis and reverse outline was. I heard this rhetorical analysis and reverse outline for the first time. I researched these online and got a little knowledge about this. And the whole thing taught me my professor very clearly. She has taken extra classes for me to disclose everything. I hardly worked for doing these tasks. I had to do those work many times for it to be actual required work. Finally I

successfully did it. I got much more help from my professor.

Our second major assignment was a group project about public awareness issues. Same as before, I totally didn’t know how to do this group and what would be about it. As it was a group project I worked with some of my classmates and got ideas from them. My group members instructed me on the process of that project. But after doing half of the work of that project I was separated from the group for my late work. Then I worked with my professor and she told me every step. I wasn’t able to do that in the first draft. I had to do that project twice a time. In that project I learned how to define audiences for an issue, and how to come to a solution in a problem. I researched a lot for doing this project and learned many things.

This semester is going swiftly enjoyable to me within learning new topics each day. The last task was a science feature assignment done by me. This had also rhetorical analysis and reverse outline as the first one. So I had no difficulties doing that as I did these tasks in my first assignment. But I wasn’t able to do the final draft perfectly yet. But I didn’t give up. I’m trying to do it by all it’s requirements. And I’m hoping to do it successfully.

This semester is almost done. As this is my first semester in City college, I was worried about it’s systems, procedures and students and professor. But after starting my classes I feel free to do everything. And my classes have been going very fantastic by learning and working with my professors and my other classmates. This semester is totally different from my previous college semester. Really I learned a lot from this semester. This semester reminds me a little of that, “ life is a learning process”.
